Week 11: The Start of Our Final Term Begins

This week marked our first meeting for the final term. Before diving into the lecture, our professor surprised us with a short seatwork based on last week's lesson. It turned out to be quite challenging, especially for me, as I hadn't thoroughly read the lecture material beforehand. I struggled with some of the questions and realized that I should have spent more time reviewing.

Our Topic Lesson

Once we finished the seatwork, the professor moved on to discuss the content of the previous lesson. He took time to explain the key concepts from the class. It was helpful to have a deeper dive into the material, as it clarified a lot of the points I was unsure about. By the end of the session, we had an activity given based on the lecture.

Our Activity

After the lecture, we were divided into four groups, and I was placed in Group 1. Our group was assigned the task of reading through a case study and coming up with solutions to the problems presented. Within our group, I was paired with another member, and together we were responsible for solving Problem 3. This problem focused on providing a solution to ensure that quality and reliability are maintained when scaling the infrastructure and software.

Our proposed solution was straightforward. We suggested creating a cloud-based infrastructure to support scalability. Additionally, we recommended conducting stress testing to evaluate the system’s performance under different conditions, ensuring it remains reliable and maintains its quality as it grows. This approach, we believe, would allow for better scalability while maintaining high standards.
